Sonics win 2nd Overall Draft Pick in 2007 NBA Draft…but

Is anyone else out there a little scared for the 2007 NBA Draft coming up in the middle of June? I started thinking about the Sonics Executives and the Organizations business decisions in the past couple years and I begin to fear the draft. If the Sonic pass on Kevin Durant and go with there current trend and draft Yi Jianlian, I will forever disown the Sonics whether they are located in Seattle, Oklahoma City, Kansas City, or Vegas. Lets take a look at the sonics 1st round draft pick pattern over the last couple of years, which has been Influenced by an extreme need for an efficient big man. Robert Swift in 2004, Johan Petro in 2005, and Mouhamed Sene in 2006. What’s with the trend of drafting a BIG guy every year that shows no signs of ever being dominant? Yet the team is still willing to blow their first round pick on the hopes of teaching a lackluster big men to do a layup off of the correct foot. Hopefully Lenny Wilkens can talk some sense into the organization and persuade them to draft Durant. Although if any team could blow drafting Durant, I would bet on the Sonics to do so. It’s been downhill ever since that Snooty Coffee Making Son of a Bitch wouldn’t give Nate McMillan an extra 1.4 million dollars to match the offer made by the trailblazers to keep the brilliant coach in Seattle. On top of it all he was coming off nearly a 60 win season, the best single season since the days Payton and Kemp ran shit in KeyArena. Here is a perfect opportunity for a young player to be drafted that can immediately join the franchise and make a real contribution. His potential is endless. At 6-10/11, he is offensive mix of a Dirk Nowitski and Kevin Garnett. His defense is solid too. Sonics ball would be worth watching and rooting for next year if we got the high flying scoring machine in Durant on our team. Sorry for the rant, I’m tired of watching the Sonics run themselves out of the city.

The only thing the sonics have done right over the past 4 years….

It’s been awile…

Well the whole bloggin’ the year hasn’t gone so well. I don’t know what I need to do to make this a successful venture, but during my failures of being an entertaining blogger, I guess I can at least use the site to help out my sister. She is running in the Smashbox Model Contest. Here is the link to vote for her. You can vote once a day, everyday. Let’s get those votes coming in everyday:

Two posts in one month, NO WAY!

Thats right folks, 2 posts in 1 month.  This is the way I was hoping the new year would start!  School is going well.  I like all my classes.  Last quarter was a successful receiving 2 B’s and an A.  I was proud, so was my mom.  She likes A’s.  She gets verbal about homework and thats putting things in a nice way of saying them(love you mom).  I’m starting to sell again on ebay.  After a long break from that, I’m also back.  Making money on ebay is probably the most enjoyable job.  Sit and watch as people bid on your auctions!  Everything looks good so far(thanks dad).  I got some nintendo wii’s and after opening up one of the box’s to “TEST” the product to make sure it was it works, it will be staying in my house!  The others will be sold to bring down the cost of the one im keeping.  It’s an awesome system and the gameplay is purely genious.  Something I had been expecting Nintendo to do for awile now after there failed attempt on their last gaming console, the gamecube.  Well I’m going to bring this one to a close with its 1:39 am and I got work and school in the morning.  Goodnight All.

Another month, another post.

As much as I would love to update this site it seems like an almost impossible task.  Between working 9am – 1pm, going to school from 1pm – 4pm, then reffing basketball games at night and doing homework, the day is full.  Boe knows one thing; 24 hours is not enough time in a single day for me.  I would like to sleep and play more, 32 hours would be great.  Last night I just played my first basketball rec league game.  It went well.  We won by 16 and I still have some skills.  Im expecting to get better with every game, that and not be so sore the next day.  It feels good to put in a little work.  Well i got to go do homework thats due wednesday, because I got tickets tuesday to go see the sonics face  AI and Melo.

The first REAL week…

The “first” week of school is over.  I have a good idea of what I’m up against.

The thing I love about the first week of school is that its ABSOLUT-ly pointless, except for encouraging kids to drink before they actually have to start putting in work. Our school started on wednesday the 27th.  We went to school for 3 days and then its the weekend.  Some look at this as good and bad.  From a lot of students standpoint, ”WOW!” this is great.  With only 3 days, it makes the transition back to school a little easier and you know you’re not going to have any homework.  Teachers think its a vacation for them too.

Educationally, whats the point.  I have a bad back from 2 car accidents and the first week reminds me how much of a “mission impossible” it is to sit still and stay focused.  It seems like im either shifting my weight, putting my legs up and down, or cracking something for 1 hour straight.  This is torture in itself, so to cut out 3 pointless days would be great.  I’m sure the person behind me thinks I need adderall and is making random jokes comparing me to Tourettes Guy.  Wouldn’t it make more sense just to start the following monday and actually TEACH?  I mean really, if a teacher NEEDS to read and explain you a syllabus, should you really be in college?  Does it really take 3 days to explain?  This is just something I will never get… actually…

I’ve came to a conclusion what the real reasoning behind the first week is:

Wear all your new clothes and look cool.  I think I accomplished that.  So my first week was a sucess.

Work

Another day of work and another dollar is earned.  My motivation for school is to not have to work as much when I’m older.  Long summer days of work have plagued my life for the last 2 months.  Sometimes I wonder why I even bother working during the school year, then I remember I need to make payments on this beautiful gem:

Back to School…

With just 3 days left before school starts, I’m trying to finish up some projects I got going and wrap up my summer with a bang.  I’ve decided to blog this school years experience not only just to have everything archived, but to also inform people I know whats going on in my life without having to write e-mails that it seems like I never have time to do.  So if you like humor, and a little boe knowledge, check this blog out as I will be updating it weekly.  Take care all.
